Each licence covers a set number of live sites. These messages mean all its places are taken.

"This licence is already used on N sites. Free a seat from webfaze.com → Account → Licences, or upgrade."

  1. Open webfaze.com Account → Licences and look at Sites using this key.
  2. Find a site you no longer use: an old server, a site you moved, a temporary address. Press Remove next to it.
  3. On the new site, open Settings → Advanced → Licence and press Activate again.

If every listed site is in use, you need another licence for the extra site. See "How many sites can I use one licence on?".

"This licence already has 3 test sites."

Test addresses (localhost, *.test, staging.* and so on) are free, up to 3 per licence. Remove one you no longer use in Account → Licences.

"This licence is already active on another copy of this site. Enter your licence key to move it to this server."

The data folder was copied to a second server, and the licence is still tied to the original. If you're moving the site, enter your key on the new server and press Activate: it moves the licence there. Then stop the old copy. A copied data folder can't take the licence with it on its own.

"This licence is already in use on another site" on the Licence screen of a site that was working

Its place was given to another site. Enter the key again to take it back if a place is free, or free one first as above.

Moving servers? Remove the old site in Account → Licences (or press Remove from this site on the old site's Licence screen) before activating the new one.
