Each licence covers the number of live sites in its plan, plus up to 3 test or staging sites for free. Every plan is a licence for the same software: plans differ only in how many live sites they cover.
What counts as a site: one installation of Webfaze at one address. Test addresses (localhost, *.test, *.local, staging.*, dev.*) don't use a seat.
See where your licence is used
webfaze.com Account → Licences shows, for each licence, Sites: X of Y used and the list of Sites using this key.
Free a seat when you close or move a site:
- in webfaze.com Account → Licences, press Remove next to the site; or
- in that site's Console, Settings → Advanced → Licence → Remove from this site.
A removed site locks until a key is entered again. Freeing a seat from a site's Console is limited in how often it can be done, so a seat can't be passed back and forth between sites all the time.
When all seats are used, activating another site shows This licence is already used on N sites. Free a seat, or buy another licence for the extra sites. Each licence has its own key and its own seats.
Paid extensions work differently: one purchase covers every site your account's licences run.
