You need a Hostinger Business or Cloud plan. Single and Premium plans don't offer Node.js apps.
- Check for Node.js. In hPanel open Websites, your site, and look for Node.js. If it isn't there, your plan doesn't include Node.js apps.
- Create a database (skip this to use SQLite). In hPanel open Databases → MySQL Databases, enter a database name, a username and a strong password, and click Create. Write down the full names: Hostinger adds a prefix, so
webfazebecomes something likeu123456789_webfaze. - Download the deploy package from webfaze.com, Account → Downloads.
- Create the Node.js app from the deploy package. Choose Node.js 22.15 or newer and set the startup file to
app.js(notwebfaze.cjs, notindex.js). - Add the environment variables (Node.js → Environment variables):
DB_HOST=localhost,DB_PORT=3306,DB_NAME,DB_USER,DB_PASSWORD(full names with the prefix). Leave all five out for SQLite.WEBFAZE_DOMAIN=https://yourdomain.comandWEBFAZE_SITE_NAME.WEBFAZE_ADMIN_EMAILandWEBFAZE_ADMIN_PASSWORD(12 characters or more).- Don't add
PORT,WEBFAZE_HOSTorWEBFAZE_DATA_DIR. Hostinger sets the first two, and setting them causes a 503. Webfaze keeps its data folder next to the app, indomains/<your site>/webfaze-data, where a redeploy can't delete it. - Save and restart the app.
- Sign in at
https://yourdomain.com/adminwith the admin email and password. - Delete
WEBFAZE_ADMIN_PASSWORDfrom hPanel. It's only read on the first start. - Activate your licence under Settings → Advanced → Licence.
Don't import anything in phpMyAdmin: Webfaze creates its tables itself on first start.
Tip: Account → Downloads → Settings for your hosting has a Download settings template button with every setting ready to copy.
If you see a 503, open the app's Logs in hPanel first, and see "My site shows a 503 error after I deploy it".
