Not for 14 days, and not at all if you fix the connection in that time.
How the check works
Webfaze confirms its licence with webfaze.com about once a month. If it can't reach webfaze.com, nothing changes for 14 days while it keeps trying. An outage at webfaze.com never locks a site.
What you'll see
The Licence screen shows Active (offline) with a message like: "Webfaze couldn't reach webfaze.com to check your licence. Everything keeps working, and it will keep trying for up to N more days."
During this time, installing extensions and updates waits until webfaze.com can be reached. Your site and the extensions already on it keep working.
If it lasts more than 14 days
The licence can't be confirmed and Webfaze locks: "Webfaze couldn't reach webfaze.com for more than 14 days, so your licence couldn't be confirmed." Nothing is deleted. Fix the connection and press Check now.
How to fix the connection
- Your server needs outbound HTTPS (port 443) to
webfaze.com. - VPS: check firewall rules for outgoing traffic and that DNS resolves
webfaze.com. - Shared hosting: ask your host whether outgoing connections from Node.js apps are blocked.
- Then open Settings → Advanced → Licence and press Check now.
Note: this allowance is only for connection problems. If webfaze.com has already answered that the licence ended, blocking webfaze.com doesn't bring the 14 days back.
