Webfaze needs hosting that can run a Node.js app with Node.js 22.15 or newer. If your hosting panel offers "Node.js" somewhere, it will almost certainly work.
Works
- Hostinger Business or Cloud plans. Node.js apps are under hPanel → Websites → Node.js. The Single and Premium shared plans don't have Node.js apps: if that menu isn't there, it's the plan, not a setting.
- cPanel hosting with Setup Node.js App.
- Any VPS (DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Linode, AWS and so on) with Node.js installed. Run it as a systemd service behind Caddy or nginx. This is the best-performing option.
- Docker, with the included
Dockerfileanddocker-compose.yml. - Railway, Render, Coolify or Fly, as long as you attach a persistent volume at
/dataand setWEBFAZE_DATA_DIR=/data. Without a persistent volume, your content is erased on every redeploy. - Plesk and other panels with a Node.js option.
Doesn't work
- PHP-only shared hosting with no Node.js option. Webfaze can't run there at all.
Please check this before you buy: problems caused by hosting that doesn't meet the requirements aren't covered by the refund policy.
Database: MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.2+ if your host provides one, or none at all (Webfaze then uses a single SQLite file).
Network: your server must be able to reach https://webfaze.com about once a month for the licence check, and when you install extensions or updates.
The install guide on webfaze.com (webfaze.com/docs/install) has step-by-step instructions for Hostinger, cPanel, a VPS and Docker.
