Activation takes a few seconds, once Webfaze is installed and you can sign in.

  1. Open your site at its real address. Activation records the address you're on, so use the domain the site will live at, not a temporary one, if you can.
  2. Sign in at /admin as the owner or an administrator.
  3. Open the Licence screen. Go to Settings → Advanced, find Licence and press Manage licence. You can also go straight to yourdomain.com/admin/licence. While the site is unlicensed, the Console takes you there anyway.
  4. Paste your key (from webfaze.com Account → Licences) into Licence key and press Activate.

You should see Licence activated. Everything is unlocked. and the status Active. The screen then shows the Plan, Sites, Valid until, Last checked and Next check.

Good to know

  • Activating uses one of your licence's sites, unless the address is a test address (localhost, *.test, staging.* and similar).
  • Webfaze checks the licence with webfaze.com about once a month by itself. Check now checks straight away.
  • Remove from this site frees the site's place on your licence, for example before moving to another server. Webfaze locks until a key is entered again.
  • What's sent to webfaze.com: your licence, a random installation id, your site's address and the Webfaze version. Never your content, visitors or users.
