One zip can create your listing, fill in its text and images, and submit the version for review in a single upload.

First, once

  1. Turn on two-step sign-in in webfaze.com Account → Security. Uploads are refused without it.
  2. Choose Become a developer in your account menu and accept the developer terms and review guidelines.

Lay out the zip

Put these at the top of the zip, or inside one top-level folder:

  • extension.js: the bundle with the /* webfaze { ... } */ manifest. Required. (Or the only .js file at the top.)
  • listing.json: listing text, optional. Fields include name, short (10 to 150 characters), description, faq, installation, category, tags, homepage, licence, minWebfaze, changelog and captions.
  • logo.png (or .jpg, .webp, .svg) and banner.png (or .jpg, .webp), optional.
  • screenshots/01.png, 02.png and so on: up to 10, used in file-name order, at least 640 by 360.

Upload

Open Account → My extensions and use Upload a package (.zip).

The manifest name decides the listing: a new name creates one, a name you own updates it, and a name that belongs to someone else is refused.

Limits: the zip up to 10 MB (200 entries, 25 MB uncompressed); the bundle up to 600 KB; the logo 1 MB, the banner 3 MB, each screenshot 4 MB.

What happens next

Everything is checked before anything is saved: if something is wrong, nothing changes and you see every problem at once. If only the bundle fails the automatic checks, the listing and images are saved and the version waits under Versions with its report.

Updates: upload a new zip with a higher version, from My extensions or the listing's Versions card (Upload a new package). Uploading the same version number again updates the listing and images without submitting a new version.
