Bookings sends emails to your customers and your team automatically, through your site's email settings.
Before anything is sent
Set up Settings → Email and press Send a test email. Without it, no booking emails go out.
What customers get
- A confirmation when they book, with the Message on confirmation from Booking settings → Booking form (such as "Please arrive five minutes early").
- If the booking needs your approval, the Message while waiting for approval first, then a confirmation once you approve it.
- A reminder 24 hours before. This is always sent.
- A second reminder 2 hours before, if you tick Also remind customers 2 hours before under Booking settings → Emails.
- An email when you approve, decline, move or cancel their booking. When you move one, you can untick Email the customer about the change.
Customers can change or cancel their own booking online until the time set in Changes allowed until (hours before).
What your team gets
- Send new bookings to: the address for every new booking. Left empty, it uses the notification address in Settings.
- Staff members with an Email on their profile also get their own bookings, and notices when one is moved or cancelled.
Approval
Tick Every booking needs my approval in Booking settings, or Each booking needs my approval on a single service.
Language
Customer emails are written in your site's language. With Multilingual, they're written in the language the customer booked in.
Reminders aren't arriving? Check Settings → Email with a test email first, and ask customers to look in their spam folder.
