Card and PayPal payments are set up under Shop → Settings → Payments. You need an administrator account.

Stripe (cards)

  1. In Stripe, open Developers → API keys and copy your Secret key. It starts with sk_test_ for testing or sk_live_ for real payments.
  2. In Stripe, add a webhook endpoint at https://yourdomain.com/shop/webhooks/stripe for the event checkout.session.completed. Copy its signing secret, which starts with whsec_.
  3. In Webfaze, tick Cards with Stripe and paste the Secret key and the Webhook signing secret.
  4. Press Save settings. The settings show Test keys or Live keys, so you can see which mode you're in.

The webhook is how your shop learns that a card payment went through, so don't skip step 2.

PayPal

  1. In your PayPal developer dashboard, create an app and copy its Client ID and Secret.
  2. In Webfaze, tick PayPal, choose the Mode: Sandbox (testing) or Live.
  3. Paste the Client ID and Secret, and press Save settings.

Test before you go live

Use Stripe's test keys or PayPal's sandbox, place an order on your site, and check it appears in Shop → Orders as paid. Then switch to live keys or Live mode.

Good to know

  • Secret keys are stored encrypted and shown as dots after saving.
  • Set your Currency under Shop → Settings → Store before adding products: prices are kept in that currency.
  • Order emails go out through Settings → Email, so set that up too.
