Structured data tells search engines who is behind the site and what each page is. SEO Toolkit adds it for you once you fill in your details.

Your business, for the whole site

  1. Open SEO → Social and schema.
  2. Under This site represents, choose An organization, A local business or A person.
  3. Fill in the Name and a Logo or photo address (a square image, at least 112 × 112).
  4. Under Profiles, add your social profile addresses, one per line. Search engines use them to link your profiles to your site.

If you chose a local business, fill in the Local business section:

  • Kind of business (shop, restaurant, café, hair salon, dentist and so on).
  • Street address, City, State or region, Postcode and a two-letter Country code such as US.
  • Phone, Price range (such as $$) and Map position (latitude, longitude).
  • Opening hours, one line per period, such as Mo-Fr 09:00-17:00 and Sa 10:00-14:00.

Leave Add breadcrumb structured data ticked to describe where each page sits on your site.

For a single page

Open SEO → Pages, open the page, and under Structured data choose a Page type. Automatic uses Article for posts and Web page for pages, which suits most sites.

Check it

Save, then test a page with Google's Rich Results Test. Search engines decide for themselves when to show rich results, so it can take a while to appear.

Using Chat and Social too? Its Profiles tab can also fill in SEO Toolkit's profiles for you.
